Treatment methods
For intraocular tumors, the type of treatment for the patient depends on the nature of the tumor, its size, location, the presence and severity of complications, and includes organ-preserving and organ-preserving techniques.

- Orbital exenteration – radical removal of orbital contents in common tumor types, including severe malignant forms.
For endocrine ophthalmopathy, we perform:
- A full course of conservative therapy (including glucocorticosteroid pulse therapy)
- Orbital decompression surgery to reduce pressure on the eyeball and optic nerve, and to decrease eye protrusion
- Oculomotor muscle surgery for secondary strabismus
- Reconstructive plastic surgery on the eyelids to improve eye closure and protect the cornea
The type of surgery is determined individually depending on the nature and size of the tumor, its location, and the patient's general condition.
A nuance! Microsurgical, radiosurgical, and laser techniques allow for maximum preservation of ocular function and good cosmetic results.
We perform surgeries under local or general anesthesia, depending on the scope and complexity of the procedure, as well as the patient's overall condition. General anesthesia is used for larger, invasive procedures involving extensive tumor removal and orbital reconstructive surgery, as well as when general anesthesia is required for medical reasons.
Following surgery, the patient is admitted to the recovery room and monitored by medical staff. 24-hour inpatient care is also available (depending on the patient's overall condition and preferences).
