Classical colonoscopy has an undeniable advantage over virtual colonoscopy: a much higher accuracy of transmitting the diagnostic picture. Of course, in some cases, the proctologist does not need more accuracy to make a diagnosis; in such situations, virtual colonoscopy is quite applicable.
