HTSA method

We keep repeating that early cancer diagnosis has a positive effect on treatment outcomes. However, many people postpone the visit to the doctor due to the fact that some diagnostic procedures cause significant discomfort.

Fortunately, modern science is not standing still, and now it is possible to screen early bowel cancer using a non-invasive, safe and painless method of quantitative analysis of fecal hemoglobin and transferrin using the HTSA method. It is many times superior in sensitivity and specificity to the traditional fecal occult blood test and has a unique marker - transferrin, which allows detecting up to 30% of cancers in the ascending colon, previously unavailable for routine laboratory studies.

Thanks to this method, the detection rate of early cancer has increased by 30%. The accuracy of the method is 96% in patients with cancer and 88% in patients with precancerous conditions.

The HTSA method is a study of fecal biomarkers in feces, during which it is possible not only to detect the disease, but also to determine the extent and localization of intestinal damage.

How is the diagnosis carried out?

At the doctor's appointment, the patient is given two test tubes, in which it is necessary to collect the feces of the first and second days and give them to the doctor.

The main indications for the examination:

  • Bowel cancer suspected.
  • Hereditary bowel cancer.
  • Polyps and suspicion of their presence.
  • Familial adenomatous polyposis.
  • Inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Screening for the detection of colorectal cancer in persons over 40 years of age (once a year), etc.

This method does not require a special diet and discontinuation of medications.
