Eczema

Eczema is a skin disease accompanied by severe itching, the appearance of vesicles and weeping. It is acute or chronic.

The development of the disease occurs due to dysfunction of the central and autonomic nervous system.
Experts identify a number of factors contributing to the course of this process:

  • immunodeficiency conditions;
  • violation of neurohumoral regulation;
  • genetic predisposition;
  • concomitant diseases of internal organs, mainly in the direction of gastroenterology: gastritis, enterocolitis, chronic constipation and others;
  • skin damage of various nature, with the addition of infection.

Symptoms of Eczema

With exacerbation of the disease, rashes are numerous. Manifested in the form of vesicles, redness and swelling of the skin. After the bubbles burst, small point erosions are formed in their place, which release serous fluid. In this case, the patient feels severe itching.

Depending on the type of eczema, the disease has its own characteristics. The most common types of the disease are:

  • microbial eczema - usually has clear boundaries. It develops in places of trauma (paratraumatic eczema), on the shins symmetrically - with varicose veins (varicose eczema), in places of fungus development (mycotic eczema).
  • true (idiopathic) eczema - occurs after nervous stress or for no apparent reason. Unlike microbial, true eczema is always symmetrical, and has foci without clear boundaries. The course of true eczema is chronic or relapsing.
  • seborrheic eczema - develops on the face, scalp, chest, less often in other parts of the body. Most often, people suffering from seborrhea get this kind of seborrhea. On the affected area, yellow-pink spots are formed, covered with scales. Rashes are accompanied by an itch. Seborrheic eczema is more often called "seborrheic dermatitis", as it is usually not accompanied by weeping and therefore is not real eczema.
  • Occupational eczema - develops in contact with a chemical irritant. Rashes form on the inner sides of the hands, neck, face, and forearm. In the absence of contact with the allergen, recovery occurs fairly quickly.
  • childhood eczema is atopic dermatitis of infancy or early childhood.
