Colleagues from Japan visited K + 31

In order to develop the competencies of the K + 31 clinic together with City Clinical Hospital No. 31 regarding endoscopic research and operations, as well as the implementation of joint telemedicine projects, a meeting was held with a delegation from Japan - professors, Sensei Yao and Sensei Shimizu - leaders in the field of endoscopy in cancer treatment Gastrointestinal tract.

MD Ph.D Shuji Shimizu is a surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. Dr. Shuji Shimizu is currently the co-chair of the APAN (the Asia Pacific Advanced Network) working group and a member of the executive committee of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, where he serves as chairman of telemedicine, uniting centers of continuing medical education worldwide.

MD. PhD Kenshi Yao is a clinical professor, head of the endoscopy department at Fukuoka University Chikushi Hospital (Fukuoka Chikushi). Dr. Yao specializes in gastrointestinal endoscopy. The main focus of his work is the installation of quantitative assessments in endoscopic imaging using advanced image methods. He is currently developing an e-learning system for endoscopic diagnostics, which will be available to endoscopists around the world.
