In the framework of the III All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Actual Issues of Endoscopy", dedicated to the topic "Endoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of stomach diseases", the Russian Championship in endoscopy for the best clinical case was held.

The champions of Russia in endoscopy were employees of the CLINICA + 31 Medical Center: Leading specialist in endoscopy, candidate of medical sciences IVANOVA Ekaterina Viktorovna, chief specialist in endoscopy, doctor of medical sciences FEDOROV Evgeny Dmitrievich (Chief freelance expert-expert of Roszdravnadzor for endoscopy), Deputy chief physician for Surgery, Candidate of Medical Sciences YUDIN Oleg Ivanovich.

The CRYSTAL ENDOSCOPE prize was awarded to our specialists for the clinical case “jejunum lymphangioma complicated by recurrent bleeding: the interaction of cities and modern enteroscopy methods in the diagnosis and radical treatment of a rare disease.”

The story of a patient from the Primorsky Territory, who became the heroine of the case, is not simple, lasting more than 6 years. During these years, she suffered from iron deficiency anemia, manifested only in low hemoglobin levels. No study has been able to diagnose the cause of this condition. When there were obvious signs of bleeding, using a video capsule endoscopy, the doctors determined that there was bleeding from the small intestine, however, it was not possible to pinpoint the cause. The patient was advised to contact the CLINIC + 31 Medical Center, where there are highly qualified specialists, the latest medical technologies and modern medical equipment that allows you to examine the small intestine and clearly determine the diagnosis. As a matter of urgency, she underwent a one-balloon enteroscopy and revealed a tumor of the small intestine with active bleeding. The formation was removed surgically from mini access. The tumor turned out to be a rare form of malformation of the lymphatic vessels (limangioma). The patient left home 10 days after the operation, in good health and with great gratitude.
