The doctor of K+31 clinic was awarded the medal "For high professionalism, courage and dedication"

Andrei Eroshenko, a cardiovascular surgeon at K + 31 Clinic, received an award for high professionalism, courage and dedication from the Central Committee for Supporting Programs of the President of the Russian Federation. He was awarded the medal on February 20 for saving a patient who was hospitalized in critical condition.

The patient was overweight and diabetes, on the background of which a multilevel lesion of the arteries of the lower extremities was formed. The woman got to the doctors because of a non-healing wound on her leg. She was operated on in a Moscow institution, intervened in the upper floor of the arteries, at the level of the abdomen and groin, and placed a stand in the iliac artery. After an open operation, the leg continued to hurt, several specialists in a row refused to help her because of the difficult situation and the risk to her heart - the woman was threatened with amputation of her legs - until she got to the K + 31 clinic.

She was at our appointment, and first of all we performed coronary angiography and stenting of the arteries of the heart, realizing that the problem was with the heart. This has reduced shortness of breath and cardiovascular risks, the risk of myocardial infarction. At the next stage, we performed an intervention on the arteries of the lower extremities, but not by standard access from the groin, but by going into the instrument from the foot — minimally invasive intervention through one puncture into the artery. They restored blood flow, but even this did not immediately reduce the pain in the leg, ”said Andrei Eroshenko.

After the puncture, the leg warmed up, the wound on it began to heal, the pain was relieved with the help of special painkillers and droppers. In fact, doctors at the K + 31 clinic saved a woman's life.
