Preparing for the intervention

Tampons are removed on the second day after surgery. After this, the person must:
- Regularly clean your nose of crusts and blood clots
- Instill saline solution into the nose (at least 4 times a day)
- Spray the nasal cavity with sea salt solutions
This helps prevent the risk of infections and speed up recovery.
To achieve the best effect in the first 3-4 weeks after surgery, you should refrain from wearing glasses, intense sports and physical activity, as well as visiting the beach, sauna and solarium. During this period, it is also not recommended to sleep on your stomach. If any alarming symptoms appear (these should include severe pain and bloody discharge from the nose), you should immediately seek help from the surgeon who performed the operation.
