Mammological examination
This examination method is recommended for women for breast cancer screening purposes. In young women, the mammary gland consists mainly of glandular tissue. A comprehensive mammological examination allows you to identify the structure of muscle and glandular tissue, to reveal such pathological changes in the mammary glands as fibrocystic breast disease, mastitis, cysts, fibroadenomas, neoplasms.
After 40 years, the glandular tissue is replaced by adipose and connective tissue. Ultrasound waves pass well through muscle and glandular tissue, but poorly through adipose tissue, so at this age mammography becomes a more informative method. In men, ultrasound of the mammary glands is used for gynecomastia and suspected tumors.
Comprehensive examination is much more profitable: up to 30% savings than purchasing each of the services separately.
