Epidemiology

Spinal cord tumors account for about 15-20% of all tumors of the central nervous system

Clinical manifestations

Symptoms and signs of the disease change and progress as the tumor grows. The most common symptoms are:

Pain radiating to the arms or legs
Decreased sensitivity to heat, cold, pain
Disruption of the pelvic organs (urination, defecation)
Difficulty walking, loss of balance
Muscle weakness

Neurosurgeon from God. I came to see him by accident - I was initially made an appointment with another neurosurgeon at the K+31 clinic. But fate is such a thing that it decided to send me to him. Before that, I had a consultation with another doctor in another clinic, but then I decided that a second opinion would not hurt and went to an appointment at the K+31 clinic. I had a hernia in my spine and my right leg was 70 percent numb. At the appointment, doctor Ramirez Altamirano Luis Alberto looked at all my pictures (MRI, CT, X-ray) and explained everything to me in detail. The operation went well, after the operation I immediately felt a change, my right leg “came to life”, the pain went away.
