X-ray reber

Reber X-ray is a medical study that allows a full radiographic picture of the chest. The radiography makes it possible to thoroughly examine the condition of the bones, visualize the breast bones and partly the spine. The ionizing radiation used is safe for health and presents an alternative to CT, MRI or SLM.

It's a non-invasive method of studying the thorax bone system. The study may be appointed on suspicion of the rib fracture. If not a single rib has been damaged, the regenerator doctor may perform a review X-ray in order to obtain a more objective and complete picture. An overview can further show the presence of internal injuries and the possible fracture of the thorax bone structure.

Reber X-ray benefits to other methods

The radiographic study is the main diagnostic of the rib and chest condition. This procedure has the most obvious advantages compared with other diagnostic methods:

  • Reber X-ray is an absolutely safe procedure for the health of the patient. There are restrictions only on the frequency of such a picture.
  • The procedure allows for quick results. For 15 minutes, images of rib visualization will be hand-delivered to a sick person, and then he will be sent to a traumatic clinic.
  • There is no need to prepare for the X-ray study.

In some cases where it is not possible to carry out a rib X-ray, a doctor may designate an ODS, CT or MRI. The studies are an alternative form of diagnostic, but their results may be less informative and accurate.

Evidence

The breast cell initially serves to protect internal organs against damage. Reber X-ray can show bone deformation or development of a certain pathology. The damage to ribs is most likely to occur as a result of impact or fall. A man's going to experience pain in his breath.

This study is provided by a traumatist in the following cases:

  • After the bruise, fall or chest injury.
  • If the rib fracture is suspected.
  • In cases where there is constant chest pain.
  • When the rib structure is deformed against the background of congenital or acquired pathologies of ribs.

The radiographic study of the chest is carried out in several projects to obtain the most accurate data. Depending on the type of damage, a suitable projection of the photo is selected.

Objection

X-ray ribs are not recommended for pregnancy. At this stage, such a study should be abandoned by selecting an alternative diagnostic option - SLM, MRI or CT. The ionizing radiation can be a prerequisite for miscarriage or the development of the baby ' s radiation. The radiography is also undesirable on the child feeding. Diagnostic radiation can affect hormonal failure, which will cause problems with milk.

Ratgen ribs cannot be assigned to people who are in serious condition. The study could have a negative impact on recovery. Most often designated as alternative diagnostics of SLM. Children under 15 years of age may only be assigned the breast X-ray in the most extreme cases, as the ionizing radiation affects the formation of the skeleton.

Preparing for X-rays

No special training is provided for breast X-rays. Restriction of the diet, the reception of special medications, such requirements are not prescribed when sent to the office of a rentgenologist.

You can clarify all the training requirements of the traumatologist, if any, in your particular case.

Method of study

X-ray ribs are assigned to a traumatist after a primary examination. The patient is then sent to an X-ray office where the procedure is performed on the basis of the following rules:

  • During the examination, the patient should not have metal-containing items. This places clear pictures and makes it difficult for a traumatologist to learn the data.
  • The breast cell has to be pressed to X-rays, and the photo itself is carried out at the time of the respiratory delay. At the doctor ' s request, several images may be carried out in different sections.
  • In order to get an image of the front sections, the ribs need to be X-rayed from the side of the stomach. The rear ribs will be visible on the picture if the X-ray machine captures the picture from the patient's back. The side projection of the ribs is being removed. The man raises his hands up.
  • The cosmetic projection is produced when the picture is in the position of lying. It's a little more difficult to perform, because the body of the patient must be in a non-eptic position.

A medical phaser is issued in an x-ray office and is used to protect the body from radiation. The picture will be ready for 15 minutes.

X-ray ribs can be performed at C+31 Medical Centre. All necessary equipment is available and qualified doctors are employed. And prices are quite affordable against other competitors.
