Treatment of pulpitis of baby teeth
Therapy of pulpitis in children depends on which teeth the problem is with (deciduous or permanent). Treatment of pulpitis of single-rooted primary teeth is carried out using a filling on the canal using a special paste, followed by restoration of the tooth with light fillings. In the case of pulpitis of multi-rooted teeth, modern materials are used that allow preserving the root pulp.
To treat pulpitis in permanent teeth when the roots have not yet formed, medicine is placed into the tooth cavity to preserve the vitality of the pulp. If the case is advanced, the dentist installs a temporary filling. It allows for proper formation of the tooth root.
When the roots are formed, for the treatment of pulpitis of permanent teeth, the canals are filled with special materials, and the crown of the tooth is restored with a light filling. If the tooth is destroyed to a significant extent, the pediatric dentist restores it using a tooth on a pin.
